Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the San Joaquin Farm Bureau was unable to hold its typical Annual Meeting, so staff and volunteers had to think creatively and held a very successful Drive-Thru Annual Meeting on Oct. 14.

“The year 2020 has been filled with many challenges and thinking outside of the box was a priority with everything this year,” said SJFB President David Strecker. “I would like to thank staff for putting together and working the first ever Drive-Thru Annual Meeting.”

“It was nice to see the many faces who drove through the Annual Meeting,” Strecker added. “Many of the members I saw I have known since I was a little kid. Seeing them for the first time in many months was very heart warming. As we enter the new year, I hope to see them all again real soon and much more in the year 2021 and into the future.”

Farm Bureau thanks the sponsors of the event, in particular gold sponsors, American AgCredit and Nationwide Insurance. We also thank our gold sponsors, Keenan Direct and Van de Pol Petroleum, and silver sponsors, Duarte Nursery and Oakdale Irrigation District.

“KeenanDirect (who had a table to welcome guests) is delighted to participate with SJFB as a sponsor and a partner,” said Lucha Olguin, sales agent and marketing coordinator for KeenanDirect. “Most importantly, we are excited to connect with members and provide them with the best solutions available for their health insurance and other benefits such as dental, vision and Life/AD&D. Our services are offered at no-cost and we strive to get the most affordable plans that provide exceptional coverages for individuals, families and small business owners. The Annual Meeting was a great start!”
